Dear Applicant
It would be impossible to detail what is involved in shadowing Dairen, without first
mentioning the man himself. In a world of plastic TV celebrity and unqualified pretenders,
Dairen is a real breath of fresh air. Simply put, he is the real deal.
He grew up in the American west, learning about nature and field craft from Native American
Indians. Using these skills he went on to develop a bespoke method for safely catching large
predators, which he has used extensively throughout the world. Whether it is Jungle or
African bush, Dairen has caught just about everything from bear to lion and jaguar to leopard.
Yet it is his sixth sense and empathy with nature, his understanding of the mind of predators
that puts most of us who work in wildlife conservation in the shade.
As important to us all, is the conservation aspect of this program. By charging applicants a
fee, Dairen is able to offer his services to conservation projects free of charge, making it
possible for many under funded projects to advance their research. A win- win situation,
where you have an opportunity to be involved with events that are normally the preserve of a
select few. In return, research projects receive Dairen’s services free of charge.
I’m proud to be associated with this program.
